A general rule of thumb is, the smaller the box equals more pieces. Obviously more pieces equals more to assemble. This particular work bench has screws, washers and nuts unlike many other that come pre-threaded which means that it is more time consuming and can be tricky in tight spots. It is helpful to have an assistant to put the washers on for you and to help hold the longer pieces as you install them
